Cashfree Payments softPOS is an Android-based Point of Sale (POS) solution that enables businesses to accept digital and in-person payments seamlessly. It supports 100+ payment options, including QR codes, Cards, Payment Links, Net Banking, Wallets, and Buy Now Pay Later.

To use the softPOS application, you must be an existing Cashfree Payment Gateway merchant, or signup with Cashfree Payments
and complete the activation process. Here’s the steps:
- Activate softPOS
- Add Agents to Collect Payments
- Install softPOS Application
- Receive Payments and Reconcile
To use the softPOS application, you must be an existing Cashfree Payment Gateway merchant or sign up with Cashfree Payments and complete the activation process.
To activate softPOS:
- Go to Payment Gateway Dashboard > click softPOS. You will see a screen as shown below:
- Click Request Activation. A request to activate your account will be sent to the Cashfree Account Manager.
You will receive an email confirmation after your account is activated. Once activated, you can add agents, accept payments, track payments received, and more with softPOS.
Agents are your employees or business partners who collect payments for your business. To start using the softPOS application, you must first add your agents. The agent’s name and phone number are required. After adding their details, you can view them in your Payment Gateway Dashboard. An OTP will be sent to the agent’s phone number to access the application.
To add agents:
- Go to Payment Gateway Dashboard > softPOS > click Add Agents.
- In the Add Agents screen, enter the Agent Name and Phone Number.
- Click Add. You will see a confirmation screen once the details are added. An OTP to access the softPOS application will be sent to the specified phone number.
Install softPOS Application
Your Cashfree Payments Account Manager will assist in downloading the application for you and your agents.
To access the softPOS application:
- Install the application.
- Launch the application, enter the registered phone number, and click Send OTP.
Login:
- Enter the OTP received on the registered phone number and click Confirm.
- After a successful login, you can view your details in the Profile section.
You can now start collecting payments from your customers.

With the Cashfree Payments softPOS solution, you can provide customers the flexibility to make payments using one of the 100+ digital payment options supported:

No, the Cashfree Payments softPOS application is not available on the iOS App Store. It is currently available only on the Google Play Store.
There are no daily transaction limits, but there are limits on the amount processed per transaction through different payment modes. These limits can be customized based on your requirements.
There is no limit. Businesses can add an unlimited number of agents.
No, the application is absolutely free. Cashfree Payments charges only for transactions made using the softPOS application, as applicable. There is no maintenance or registration fee for using the application.
